Who we are

DockHive operates a portable power bank rental network across Ireland. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and how we use it. For any privacy query, contact us at info@dockhive.ie.

What we collect on this website

Contact form: when you send us a message we store the name, email address, enquiry type and message you provide, so we can respond to you. We do not use these details for marketing without your consent.

Analytics: we record basic, privacy-friendly usage data — the page visited, the referring site and a random visitor identifier stored in your browser's local storage. This contains no personal details and is used only to understand site traffic. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on this website.

The DockHive app

The DockHive mobile app helps you find power bank charging stations near you. It is designed to collect as little data as possible:

• Location: with your permission, the app uses your device's location solely to centre the map on where you are. Your location is processed entirely on your device — it is never stored by us or transmitted to our servers.
• Station data: the app downloads the list of station locations from our servers. No personal information is sent with these requests.
• Place search: if you search for a town or area by name, the text you type is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service (openstreetmap.org) to find matching places. No other personal data accompanies the search.
• No accounts or tracking: the app does not require an account, does not process payments, and contains no advertising or third-party analytics.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie). To exercise any of these rights, email info@dockhive.ie.
